Fishlake Muzzleloader Elk Hunt

Post by FishlakeElkHunter » Wed May 02, 2007 4:45 pm

FINALLY......I drew a Fishlake Muzzy elk tag for this year. I had been putting in for the pahvant but got tired of not drawing and moved to the Fishlake this year and drew my tag.

I grew up in Richfield but have been gone for a while and have not spent much time up there in a few years. I just moved back and plan on spending the rest of the summer up there. Anyone know of any good areas that people have been seeing bulls in the last couple of years. My old haunts may still be good but just checking to see if there are any new ones??? 4c 4c

Been years since I've been up there also. I hear it's improving though. Should be a fun hunt. Good luck, keep us posted.

Yea, it is improving. They found a set of sheds that go 391 a couple of weeks ago. So there are some good bulls up there.

I lived in St. George for the last 5 years and just have not spent the time I used to up there and since this is pretty much once in a lifetime hunt anymore I just want to make sure that I find the one I want!

I used to hunt spike only up there all the time. What exit is that between Richfield and Salina? Is it hackberry or something like that? I used to go up top and look over the heavy oaks off the powerline and have seen some nice ones on many occasions. If, you need more details let me know and I will find out some more info for you.
