That is horrible that rancher should be ashamed of himself. I think that he is just as responsible for those bulls deaths as someone who shoots an elk and leaves it lay. The end result is the same those, elk were wasted because of him.

Heard the story, never did those close up pictures like that. SAD, very SAD.
That rancher obviously had some serious resentment and could care less about such a magnificant animal.

Disturbing. Hope that never happens again, makes no sense to me at all. Even if they had caused damage, DWR will often help to repair and give money to fix fenses etc.

he probably throws a fit every year but won't let anyone in to harvest the animals either.I think I would have taken the trespassing ticket if enough people went in to unlock them you probably could have got out of the ticket in court.couldn't you site the rancher for cruelty to animals.I know it happens in nature all the time but to let it happen when the death can be prevented is just wrong.

well that KSL site is dated sometime in 2004 so coulda been those same pictures just the story got a little mixed when you heard it.. cause on that news site it says the whole story - less that was a different 2 bulls you heard about. thats too bad either way though.. that really pisses me off that that rancher would be so stupid and cruel about the situation :2

A great shame to see two awesome looking animals sucome to that kind of behavior. Rancher cold have some some $ to allow some hunter to come back later in the fall and harvest them, but instaed they go to waste...makes me mad!!!

Yea, I remember when this story came out (Don't recall where I read it though) but this is the first time I have seen the pics. I can't possibly think of ANY good reason why the landowner would not allow a crew onto his land to help the animals. Wish they could run the guy in on animal cruelity charges or SOMETHING for lettin' the bulls suffer.
