finally connected

well been hunting hard for the last couple weeks and finally put it all together. but not without a few dissappointments. After seeing this nice buck not only did I get very close to him as little as 15 feet. I missed not only once but 3 times. :P :P :P well after going back to the ranch and figuring out what happened I found I can't shoot fingers with a glove on. so we took a couple hour break Ric and I headed back out. we are only out for about 15 minutes when we see this same deer bedded under a fallen tree.so Ric lets me try one more time setting himself in a place to not only watch but intercept if I miss again. Well I work my way around this nice buck and get on the hill right above him.Now for the challenge to not only position myself right but not to slip down the hill right on top of him.So I take off my coat, gloves and put my hair back, there now nothing should go wrong. I ease over the edge while coming to full draw. At full draw I move down the hill and to the right to get a clear shot. at about 12 feet there is my shot and ----------------------

THWUNK I nail him. WOOHOO

It was this buck that I missed. persistance paid off.

I really wish I could afford to mount him. so unfortunately he like my other big deer will be european mounted and the cape taken care of and stored for a someday mount.

Agreed with those statements above, that is an AWESOME buck and with a bow is even more impressive.

CONGRATS big time and thanks for the pics and story with him.
