New Mexico Muley Buck

Post by bowcrazy » Sun Dec 12, 2010 5:23 pm

Thought I would share a picture of a Muley buck I ran across while hunting elk in NM this year. He must have known I did not have a deer tag in my pocket. I approached to within 10 yards and snapped half a dozen pictures before he bolted.

It's funny how that works! While out mule deer hunting last season I was into so many elk that I couldn't count them all. However, I never did run across a shooter buck.

I went back there during elk season and didn't see a one. But, as luck would have it, I had one of the biggest muley bucks I've ever seen in that area feed to within 50 yards of me without a care in the world.
