crossbow or compound?

Post by Muley Shed Freak » Thu Mar 10, 2011 11:28 am

Lookin for a little advice. I have a disabled archery permit and can hunt with either a crossbow or compound bow. I have heard that the technology on the compounds have almost reached the accuracy of the crossbow, minus the weight of one.
If any of you have hunted with both before, please let me hear your experiences with them and which one you would rather hunt with. Thanks!
im either going to buy a crossbow or compound for this falls hunt.

I'm disabled and use a compound. I like the exercise I get which seems to help a great deal with my upper body and neck. My pain and strength have improved remarkably. If you can't use a compound by all means shoot a crossbow. I went 8 years without archery hunting because I couldn't draw a bow and probably should've gone for a crossbow.

I give hats off to those that are disabled and still find a way to bow hunt. I have a very good friend that is paralyzed from the waist down and he is a compound bow finatic. He hunts out of ground blinds and smokes a stud buck every year. Do what feels comfortable for you.
