One fine day in KS

Post by 6x6 bull » Thu Apr 07, 2011 3:19 pm

I woke up at 1in the morning and drove to KS. At 4:30 I had my blind set up with the decoys out. Finally the morning started to wake up and the gobbling began. Most of the gobblers where across the road but there was one on my side. At 7:30 with lots of calling he deceided that he would come and look at my decoys strutting in all the way.Image After a well placed arrow bird number one was mine. Now its off to the motel and check in and take a nap. At 2 I loaded up and went back to where all the birds where in the morning. At 3 a group of 5 longbeards a couple of jakes and about 4 hens came out into the field. The dominate bird saw my strutter and he came running in from about three hundred yards. Shot number 2 and gobbler number two down.Image I would say that this was one fine day in KS.
