CA Gobblers...

Post by 'Ike' » Wed Apr 11, 2012 11:05 pm

Been a while, but I'm after birds here...Took a 'eater' the other day, as it's been Jake mania for some reason...Ton of fun though! :))

A series of two of the more aggressive ones the other day...

Several hunts later with friends, more Jakes...Then finally a really good bird! :thumb I called him in from a ways right after they hit the ground...Came in as scripted and then...My buddy misses him not once, but twice! #-o

I could have cried!

Great looking birds. I have been trying to get out but the weather where I am in Northern California has been so wet and cold lately that I thought the birds would stay on the roost all day. Great pictures

Thanks...They'll stay on roost a little longer, but will come down.

Sounds like you need a new buddy, George! :)

I can't wait to try my hand at those thunder chickens this weekend. Looks like perfect weather, too.
