whats your thoughts?

Post by 9er » Thu Nov 01, 2007 9:34 pm

if you saw 3 bucks in the same canyone, one a 4x3 with 2 cheaters about 170, another a straight 4x4 heavy a solid 175 buck, and the last a monster, pushing 190 typical 4 with a little 3 in, inline.

would you guys take the 1st buck that presented it self or would ya pass the others in hopes of getting a crack at the big boy?
Im just curious to what others would do!

You doing the Archery Extended right 9er?

I think I'd take the first one with my bow myself.

I've been there, done that and I've always have gone after the biggest one or the one I liked the best. I usually come home empty handed but at least I tried.
There's always next year

ill tell you what if you seen all 3 before you had to shot there is a big difference between 175 and 190. theres no way i could shoot something smaller if i now i might have a chance at a big boy.
INSANITY! Is doing the same thing over & over again and expecting a different result!

The answer that you need is. Am I going to be happy with shooting a buck that presents a shot even though it may not be the buck that I want. If not then hold out for the buck that you would really kie to get. One nice thing to think about is these deer have already made through the rifle hunt a few times to get to that size so there is a good chance that they will be back next year. So if you don't get one of them this year I would say that you have a good chance that they will be back.

I would like to say I would shoot the one that presented the first shot. But, I think seeing all three I would probably try for the big boy.
