Extended San Pete Archery Area

Post by timberline » Thu Dec 11, 2008 5:35 pm

Trying to find out the best way of learning which exact San Pete Valley area is public versus private. I still have my elk tag that I need to fill and I don't know any private landowners in San Pete. At this point, all I really want is the meat so I'd be more than happy to harvest a cow. Any help with finding the public land and/or gaining access to private land for a cow?

I haven't ever hunted the front for elk so I wouldn't know where to go. Also, finals are keeping me put probably until after the front closes. I may be able to get out this Saturday if I knew where to find a cow. Can you be of any help?
