I was helping a new bowhunter on opening day, but took my Javelina after a VERY short hunt on day 2.

Right on man nice Javi...he looks a little bigger than most. I guided my 13 yr old nephew to his first archery Javelina on the 2nd. Them animals are made for bowhunting!!!

I don't know if they could taste like bacon, but they can be good eating if you take care with the meat. I usually keep the loins whole to marinate and bbq, the rest of it can be slow cooked and shredded for bbq sandwiches or made into some type of sausage like bratwurst.

6 x 6, Not to make excuses.... but I spent most of opening day trying to help a first time bowhunter (first time hunter for that matter) get a pig. We got into two different herds, and even called one in charging at her, but she didn't get a shot. She couldn't go the second day, so I went out and killed mine in under 30 minutes!
