Do waiting periods apply to the dedicated hunter drawing???

say im a on waiting period for elk, and they draw my name for an elk tag, do they draw again, or am i awarded the permit??

I don't think it matters if you're on a waiting period in order to draw one of the tags, but I don't know for sure. I know it doesn't affect your bonus points and you don't have a waiting period if you draw a tag, because my uncle drew an elk tag several years ago through the program. He didn't have to wait to apply again for elk and he has 13 points for elk going into this years drawing.
