Good trade?

Post by 79Ford » Sat Jan 09, 2010 12:08 pm

Okay, so yesterday I put one of my pistols online to try and get some money to help pay these Christmas bills. The first offer I had was a guy wanting to trade me a smoke pole for the pistol. The pistol was only $150 new so I was asking $125 for it. He had two muzzleloaders that he was willing to trade and the one I decided on was a CVA Optima with a nickel finish, black synthetic stock, and a red dot scope. I figured for the price I couldnt go wrong considering it was a pistol I never shoot anymore and even if the rifle isnt that great for hunting i'd still probably shoot it more than i did the pistol. So did I make a good trade? In my mind I did, but I thought i'd ask the "experts" their opinion.

I'd say you made a good trade.
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

I'm no expert on either guns, but it sounds like a good trade to me.

I agree it sounds like you made a good trade. How are those Christmas bills coming in the mean time? lol

Doesn't help much with that.... In fact it's kinda counter-productive as now I have yet another hobby to dump money I don't have into. However with the Utah rifle deer season change I was looking into getting into either archery or muzzle loader anyways, so i'll just have to figure out another way to pay for the Christmas bills.

Thanks everyone for the input.
