My buddy and I both got Southeast muzzy tags for the 2010 season. We are new to the hunting area and looking for some advise on some good locations to scout. I have heard that the Manti area is good. I am not looking for you to give me your favorite, or secret spot :not-worthy , just some good guidance.

Thanks in advance.

Skyline drive,,,,,,and pick a canyon.
There are deer in all of them.
But you'll need to hike down in to get away from the road hunters......

lol , Way to be specific, and if you don't find deer there try the mountains next.

Goofy is right, one canyon isn't really any better than the other and depending on pressure the deer could be in one canyon one day and one or two away the next. The west side of skyline down on the manti side seems to be where the bigger bucks head when they get pressure but they usually go into the private in the bottom of the canyons and its a steep pack out if ya do get one on that side. The west side is where i have seen some dandys but its rough country where I have chased them too (alot of deadfall and hard to sneak on an already spooked buck). Good luck

To be a little more specific I've hunted North Fork several years and been successful up there. You head up Manti Canyon and then take the north fork. There's a sign at this specific split. Then go up there and hunt about a mile below skyline drive. Lots of deer in there.
