Getting excited...

Post by derekp1999 » Wed Sep 14, 2011 10:14 pm

Two weeks 'til the Utah muzzleloader opener! Spent the last day or two analyzing all my trail cam pics and found that half of the buck pics over a 4 month period of time (and 3 full lunar cycles) occurred during the new moon... as luck would have it this year the hunt opens on the new moon! All pics taken were during legal shooting light, too. Whether or not it means anything, I don't care because it's just fueling the fire.

Good luck to everyone, I'm looking forward to seeing some success pics and hopefully posting some of my own [-o< .

Best of luck. I'll be out also, although be it fairly brief I'm hoping to connect with the smoke pole as I couldn't 'get er done' with archery tackle.

Good luck to you and everyone else! My Dad also has a tag and has been watching some good bucks! I can't wait to see what happens.

I was scouting for elk this morning and I was surprised to find that there were only a couple trucks out and about. I might have to give muzzleloading a try! I'm sure this weekend will be a different story though. I hope we start seeing some pics of deer soon!
