BlackTail shed

Post by UtahRob » Sun Oct 29, 2006 2:36 pm

The only shed I have found is the left side of this Blacktail from Calif. :thumb I was not able to find his right side with the drop tine ! :>/
The grass was over 2 feet tall and i was very lucky to find any. I knew where he liked to bed and I started walking in that direction and stepped on his shed in the tall grass.

This is his photo I took of him before he shed .

thats awesome, man do i need to get after them cali. blacktails sometime.. seems like they all pretty much hae real darker horns and decent mass two, those are my 2 favorite characteristics in any trophy animal and from the pics ive seen all blacktails pretty much have darker horns and decent mass.. great pics though, too bad you couldnt find that other side!

Oh and id help ya out on the utah shed hunting if i could, but im new to the game myself, if ya ever wanna head out once the snows meltin though im hopin to go out quite a bit this year, so lemme know - good luck either way!
