River Sheds?

Just Started shed hunting and recently found a shed in a river and it stinks pretty badly :shock: is there anything I can do to get rid of the smell?

light soap and warm water?
obviously don't want to take the color away from the horn. Good question though, never had that problem

maybe try boiling them? might work i know when they go for european mounts some boil the heads and antlers but im not quite sure if it will take the stinch away.
