This was my first muley. There's not much to the story. I killed him on the first morning of the hunt. We spotted him out in a wheat patch, with a group of bucks, at first light. We stalked him for about 3/4 of a mile as they dropped down into a canyon. The deer went into a header on the north side of a ridge and we went around the south side. As we came around the ridge we found the deer grazing the slope opposite us. I was able to lay down and put one in him at 200yds. I had a short but great hunt, the weather was beautiful and I saw lots of deer. Brent Sorensen of Tangle Ridge Outfitters is who I hunted with. I am hopefully going to hunt with them again next year in unit 34.
