3 for 3 Lope trip

Post by Tyewire » Thu Aug 29, 2013 10:19 pm

Just got back from a amazing antelope archery trip here in my home state of Oregon with my father and brother. You know how you plan a trip and hope and pray it goes as planned but it never does? Well this trip was the exception. Everything went well and as planned for the most part.
We got the water holes we wanted, the camp we wanted, and the critters came in.

This is the buck I shot on opening morning. He is the 16" we had been scouting him and hoping he would show.

The next morning my brother moved over to my blind thinking it was hot and he was right. All I have is a cell phone picture, it kind of sucks.

Next was dad's turn. He hunted his blind for another day and passed on a few goat until we talked him into trying my blind before we pulled it down. This was the result. A great 5 days of hunting and family!

It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

You have to be kidding me? Does your buddy happen to be an iron worker?
There is a chance we will be floating together. We were invited on the same hunt. My cousin Tony is floating the dad and son down the river- I still have to work on my work schedule, but it would be a great trip.

How funny is that? Assuming it's the same tag.

That's a pretty amazing story to take 3 out of the same blind/hole like that. Cool stuff, thanks for sharing!
