Ya it was the first year they opened the Oak Creek Unit.
My nephew in the earlier pics I posted with the 4x3 Buck also shot a descent 4x5 i dont have a pic for.

I finally got to see this bull. I heard about it right after it was shot. I scouted that area and asked the biologist about the mnt. this bull came off of and he told me no elk up there. Not good habitat. Then later I found out that over 10 300+ bulls came off there. Including this one. Suuuuuck!

Yes that is right ridgetop.I believe 4 or five youths took over 300 class Bulls that year in the area.
