Does any one know the specific type if turkey in the Gallinas River area in NM. It is either Rio Grande, or Merriam's Turkey. Because there are a few flocks on my family's ranch and I was just wondering.

What is the evelation i am 13 and up here in utah it is about 7000 and we mostly have riogrands in the river areas and in the mountian they are mostly merims. I kilt a half breed it had a 9 inch beard it was my first harvest they are fun to hunt.

If the tips of there feathers are wite they are merims.I think if i rember right
