2007 Utah buck (first muzzle loader)
2007 Utah buck (first muzzle loader)
Found and watched this buck for 3 month before finding him only 1/2 mile away from where he had summered all year. First buck ever shot with a muzzle loader 120 yards 8x7 cheater to cheater 29 3/4 wide-I just wish he had more mass. This year I will make up for the mass but may not have as many points.( I have a new one that I have been watching)

What part of the State (Reagion) did you get him out of?

northern utah, Unitas.
See so many people that where so close to this buck, The long story goes that I found this buck one day and started to check in on him every couple weeks, Every time he was in the same area-I would just hang back and watch him throw the spotting scope. It took me two days to find him when the season opened and he was with a buck that was just as big-just didn't have any cheaters ( I had never seen this buck before). Beleive it or not it I shot at this buck three times before he went down, It was just ment to be-I have never missed like that and had the buck still in the same state when I was done.
Game and fish guessed the buck to be four years old-His teeth where in great shape, Kinda makes me wish I could have waited a couple years to see what he was really going to be-but you don't pass a buck like this-not in that unit.

Good buck. I usually hunt archery but spent a few points on a black powder tag this year. I have been watching a buck at timberline for 2 months. I hope he stays put like yours did.
