Antlers, very cool. Theres a few in my exteded family that are the same. They hunt but the wives are more avid hunters. I wish I could get my wife to hunt but all she wants to do is catch them and bring em home for pets #-o

we caught a cub last fall, I wanted to bring him home but they wouldnt let me.. He was sure cute.. A big ol fur ball.
We got outta of there quick, we knew his friendly mommy was near by.. Im sure she wouldnt play very nice if she knew her cub was treed.
Id have all kinds of critters if he would let me bring them home!

S&S is the only way to hunt them here, their eye sight isnt the best but their nose is,if they wind you they will bug out never to be seen again. Most of Western MT is full of b bears, hunt logging areas with clear cuts and shale slides, they hit them hard in the spring, the fall season is a bit tougher, but the bears ar BIGGER.I did a rug, should have it back soon....

K,here are the 3 bears me and my partners took last year, the first one was a cinn my buddy took off my ranch the 2nd week of the spring season, his first bear, the next is a big black my other buddy took early in the fall season, that got me motivated to go hunt an area I scouted during the summer,i killed my big browny there on the first day I hunted it.My bear was so old they couldnt find a tooth long enough to pull, they estimated 20-22 years old.

NONYA - great bears.. Holy mackeral 20+ years old.. Wow.. I cant wait to see the rug picts!
great looking country as well.. So when can I come up :)

TheGreatwhitehunter- What area are you putting in for?
I had the Kamas tag.. Everyone Ive talked to said they hate to hunt Kamas beacuse it is a tough hunt. We chased for 2 months and never caught one, lots of chasing and came real close. They country is way steep and rugged. wore the dogs out quick..
I finally got lucky 2 weeks before my hunt ended.
I have some good friends that hunt down south alot and tree a handfull bears in one day..
Are you putting in for archery or rifle?
