Montana Ram

Post by MTWillie » Sun Nov 21, 2010 10:06 pm

Took this photo today while I was elk hunting. It's on private land I have had access to for years. I knew there were sheep running around, but had no idea one this big was there. The herd is about 30-35 animals, with 5 or 6 good size rams. This bugger is a brute. I'll be putting in for his tag from now on.

What would you say he scores?

Here's another picture of him. Little blurry but it still gets the job done.

And here's a few of the other rams.

He is a beauty! I would put him about 165.

And he'll only get bigger. Private land and I'm really good friends with the owner. I'm hoping to draw it for next season, but at the same time I'm hoping I don't and let him get another year or two worth of growth.

Just put in for the tag today. Now I'll keep my fingers crossed until May 1. I highly doubt I'll draw the unit in my first try, but my luck is bound to change one of these days.
