The Grizzly Trail hunting area offers superb hunting within an easy drive of Edmonton. The trail runs north from the mixed farming area of Barrhead, through the rugged spruce and pine of Swan Hills, through miles of muskeg to the rolling breakers and white sands of Lesser Slave lake. This area of uncompromising beauty presents the sportsman with an opportunity to hunt a wide variety of species. The area boasts a plentiful supply of black bear, elk, moose, whitetail deer and mule deer. Grizzly Trail Guiding & Outfitting has access to virtually all of the private land in this area as well as a huge pasture of 33,000 acres. We offer a 10 day whitetail deer hunts in November. Several whitetails have been taken within a few miles of our home. We hunt whitetails from home with very little traveling time to tree stands and ground blinds. Many of our deer score in the 155-198 B.C. We also offer excellent black bear hunting throughout May. We can bait bears in some areas, setting out bait 3 weeks prior to the hunter’s arrival and restocking bait stations as required. We have taken several black bear that have made the Pope & Young book! Moose, Mule Deer and Elk hunts are also available and Wolf and Coyote hunts are always an option!
