Seems to have 5 point on his left side, but maybe that is just the brush behind him. An awesome buck any how. I am sure that I will never see one that nice durring the season.
KODY WHERE YOU FROM? LOOKS LIKE UTAH TO ME. I’D SAY SOMEWHERE CLOSE TO VERNON UTAH. I’VE SEEN SOME GOOD DEER IN THAT AREA.NOTHING THIS WIDE.BUT SOME CLOSE TO THE 200 CLASS.
I am originally from Utah, but now I live in Texas. A friend took that photograph and sent it on to me. It is somewhere close to the area you are speaking of, but further north I am guessing. I am also familiar with some of the quality bucks that are in Vernon, Utah. That unit is the first place I ever deer hunted with my dad over 24 years ago. I have a picture of a buck that was killed in Vernon with a muzzleloader that scores around the 200 mark. Its huge.
Has any one got anymore pictures of Bucks that have been killed on the Vernon Unit? I drew a tag this year and have been scouting and have seen some very impressive bucks. Any photos of Deer or any tips on hunting this area, location etc would be apperciated. Hopefully at the end of October i will have some great pictures to share with you. Thanks, Eric
I got an email from a friend that had a buck killed in Vernon 2 years ago during the muzzleloader season. It scored right at 198 and if I am correct there was very little deductions. He took this buck out in the flats between the resivoir and the mountains to the west. It was a pig of a deer. I wish you the best of luck and please send us a photo when you do.
Wow! I live in central Utah, and the biggest buck I hav eever seen is a 5×7, if all the deer are like that in Vernon, then screw the central region, i’m going there!
That is a beutiful deer I’m from Idaho and i have seen big bucks but that buck is just amazing. My grampa took one like that and it was a 9×8 named big foot but this is a better deer.
The buck on the left is located at the deseret chemical depot behind a guarded fence!!! He is seen everyday by hundreds of workers! He is a good 40 miles North from the Vernon boundry. If you took this photo while scouting you A. Wasted your time and B. lucky you didn’t get shot! 2 words for ya "DREAM ON"!
Mr. Security Gaurd. You are correct in the location of this deer. I questioned the person that sent me this picture as well, knowing the area is under contant serveilance. I dont know how she got this photo, but I agree that she is lucky she didnt get shot.
Where are the fruits of all that labor "SCOUTING", don’t see any harvested deer or elk from those other pics either. Who’s telling us a story ??????????
I KNOW WERE THE HENRY’S ARE AND HE ISN’T THERE! LET’S SEE SOME PIC’S OF THE BRUTE! I’M SAD TO SAY THIS BUT THIS BUCK WAS POACHED JUST AFTER THANKS GIVING! WHAT A SHAME!
These bucks are on the Tooele Army Depot. The buck on the left was poached around the third week in November. After the guy shot it he took it to the DWR office to have them score it and told them that he shot it on the general season hunt but the DWR had been watching this buck for a while. BUSTED
the big buck was poached, with a bow, by a seventeen year old kid from rush valley. was an easy bust.this deer spent many years on the depot. i personally watched it. kudos to the fish & game!!!!
This buck was photographed on public land. We estimated his width at around 37 inches or so.
Wow. Looks like a perfect 4. Easy over 200 I would say. Incredible photo. Thanks for sharing.c

I’ll bet this wasn’t the first time this poacher took deer illegally.Maybe the law(judge) will put some teeth into the laws.
POACHERS ARE WORTHLESS.
Some people just dont deserve the right to call themselves hunters. Poachers are killers and cannot ever be considered anything different.
big flipen buck dude i say killem this season and put him on the wall!!!!
see the big buck on the left? he was poched this year in utah by a sixteen year old kid.
did anyone ever find out how wide the poached buck on the left was?

I was working for DWR and have heard about the buck on the left. The stories are true about the teen who poached this deer. So So Sad
Thats a big friggin deer! The only one I’ve seen on the ground that comes close is one that was shot by my dad. It scored 196 2/8.
