- Description: The buck I got on a solo hunting trip in the Steens Mountains here in Oregon. I spotted him 5 days before the season started, seeing him every day except for the day before the season opener. A storm had blown in and I wasnít able to glass him. Opening morning I went back to where I had been watching him all week 4î of fresh snow on the ground clear blue skies and I spotted him feeding. After a 6 hour spot and stalk I put him down less than 100 yards. He measured 35 ºì wide 9 by 14 measurable points and scored 201 & 2/8 BC. Oregon Dept of Fish and wildlife aged him for me at 7 years old.
