Hey good job. Thats what I like to see. Anybody can shoot a elk with a rifle. But with a bow. Thats a challange. Great job. I shot a 3-4 black tail . Now I want a elk.
Hey bowhunter,try hunting elk on public land in a state where the rifle season happens after the rut with no calls.It can be a pretty good challenge too.
Not sure what you’re saying there rifleman, but I can tell you ALL of the bulls I’ve arrowed have been on public land, self-guided, away from the roads, and shot less than 40 yards away. I say ANY bull (rifle or bow) is a feat that’s a lot of fun. 🙂
Hey rifleman, just to let you know az has only recently offered an archery only bow seaon for trophy elk, during the rut. For someone to take a bow out during the rifle hunt is to say a lot. I agree that a nice bull is a nice bull, but pick up a bow and you will realize that sending lead down range is almost like cheating after you become a seasoned bow hunter. Awesome Bull Roy, i’m guessing it was taken in unit 22, 23, 1, or 10. i recognize the country. where the big boys roam!!!
Are you from MT rifleman? That is how it is here..and i feel it should be everywhere…bowhunt during the rut,,, and after the rut is over out comes the rifles! … nice bull Roy!
First of all nice bull. bow hunter you guys just injure so many dang animals. You stick an arrow in them and can’t find them. I see it all the time. I will come upon a dead deer or elk with an arrow sticking out. You have no idea how mad that makes me.
NICE BULL!!! archery hunting is a great sport… people should be congradulating you… anybody can shoot a trophy with thier bow. so great job!! so keep it up!

You can’t find the bulls just by finding the cows and they dont come so close so easily.

chunter you need to get a clue. just as many poor bullet hits as arrows each year. you obviously don’t know a lot about archery.

i know exactly where this is my cousin shot a 6×6 on the ridge across the canyon we ended up getting 5 6x6s out of there on our hunt i love az hunting
