Seems like the nice bucks like that disapear during the rifle season, what gmu was this great buck in, I’m 12 and really wan’t to bag a wallhanger for my room and lots of jerky and backstraps!
Young buck, when someone finds a honeyhole that contains bucks like that, especially here in eastern washington, they aint gonna tell where it is, if they do there not tellen the truth, put in for a youth permit if your young enough
YOung Buck I am only 16 and ive killed 2 4 points and a 3 point and this year I killed a 4by5 that was 26 inches wide and 24.5 inches tall which around here is a nice buck for Unit 54 in idaho but it took alot of time to come across that nice buck. lots of stalking and passing on little bucks. Patience is the key.
Yes there is a certain amount of luck in any kind of hunting. But to find a buck of this caliber is less luck than it is skill. Knowing the country you are in and knowing the feed patterns and thinking like Bambi. If you find a good spot to hunt and you feel in your gut that there are big deer around, it may take a few years to pattern a buck of this caliber. But above all the biggest factor in finding a buck like this is an endless lake of patience. You can’t go storming through the country like you are walking the mall. Some guys don’t find a buck like this for maybe 15 or 20 years.
Thats an awsome pic…ppl over exagerate the amount of muleys here in Washington..There are a fair amount of mediocore bucks and VERY few true Trophy bucks….but we all see our fair amount of 2 points..this year I picked up a winter killed 2 point that was 21" tall and 20" wide

There are so many bucks this size in Washington state on public land that we now hunt in Montana and Idaho.
