Must be a youngster hey? Great question! I think that the division is doing a pretty good job of managing the general deer herds the best they can. Lets put it this way, to manage a herd properly you need lots of money to get the job done. The fact of the matter is that less tags means more deer, but less money for making sure there is adequate winter range, no poaching, and all the other good stuff the DWR does to keep our herds in check. My advice is to those who can't find a good buck is to use common sense and get away from the roads and ATV trails. There is a reason big bucks get old, they aren't stupid! A little leg work never hurts too much anyways! I do think that Archery tags are way out of check though, it gives those who dont draw a chace to buy a tag two days before the hunt and dust off the bow they havent shot all year. I love archery hunting, but most of the guys going out these days shouldnt be out there. SO, I voted yes, cut the numbers of statewide general archery deer tags.

Ya but what really makes me mad is them atv's. Me and my dad will hike in for about 2 miles and here comes a danm atv. This is my first year hunting big game. There is just to many hunters know days people who dont even know what they are looking for. Abuot 2 years ago we went up on the mountian during elk season adn some dummy had shot a moose. It just really makes you mad?

i think that they should change it to a 4 pt or better. because think how many young two points are killed each year. give them a couple years and we will have a lot of 4pts. i think that that is one way to improve on our deer numbers and the success of getting a decent buck instead of everyone killing babies.

yes shorty, the DWR needs to limit the number of tags, especially down in the southern region, but to limit a hunter to four point or better, that would limit many people, including you, to harvesting a deer. I shot a 4x3 this last year, to do so again where I hunt wouldn't be such an easy tasks since the majority are two points. :arrow
