"Deer Talk" call

Not sure what kind of call you are talking about but I don't think using any kind of call in the early season would work period. In my limited experience of using calls, the only time they are effective is in and around the rut. I've never heard of anyone trying to use a call with muleys. Whitetails, yes, but only during the rut is calling effective. Same with using esterus scents. The only time a call will work outside of the rut is to stop a buck in his tracks to get a shot, providing he's not spooked. But you can do this by whistling or grunting without a call. Don't know if this is the type of info you were looking for and if not just disregard everything I just wrote.

Thanks for the reply Abert, any bit of info helps. I was questioning this call, because I read that it is effective on mulies, both bucks and does in the early season and I wanted to see if anyone can prove this claim.
