Here's a bull we called right into my truck believe it or not. I think this is at about 15 yards.

Great pic! I need to figure out how to do that with them dang heavy elk. Did you get him right into the bed or just next to the truck? I'd love to get a big ol' bull to hop into the back of the truck for me, make life a lot easier! :))

 Next to the truck, didn't have a moose tag though. It was pretty wierd, he was 60 yards out in a swamp. We stopped in plain site and my partner started mouth grunting. He came right in...to about 15 yards or so.

On another elk story, We've been fortunate enough to take 8 elk in the last 4 years. 2 died on a road, 4 died within 15 yards of a road. We've been very fortunate with them heavy critters up until my bull this year. Probably a couple hundred yard hike in steep country...I've got a post in the "elk hunting."

I'm hoping our luck stays up, but it's only a matter of time I know.
4
