1st Run in 1.5 Years!!!

Well Guys I was finally able to jog for the first time in over a year and a half! It was only for 1 minute and it hurt but I did it!
Here is a pic of what has finally fixed my ankle. Inside the Circle is the bone that had to be replaced by a doner bone. The rest of the hardware is to hold everything together. It's hard to beleive that with all that in me it feels better than it did before! Anywho here is the pic...
Next the docs get to try and fix my shoulder!

I'm sure it hurt, but I bet it felt good at the same time! Hope the rest of your rehab goes well!

I will never gain full range of motion back with that ankle. The only real concern is it still affects my balance on uneven ground which really affects my western hunting. you can bet I am pushing through the pain to regain as much balance as possible! lol they are estimating it to take up to one more full year to fully regain all the strength I have lost in that leg. It is good to be getting better though!

I know what you mean about that first run. It's better than, well you know what I mean, it'll just get edited out. Glad you're making forward progress. I'm sure you'll hunt again out here. Just stay away from the edge of cliffs for awhile. :)
God bless.

sneekee, i know your pain.... i broke my tib and fib a lil over two years ago and have a titanium rod and four screws in my leg. Its hell and we really really have to fight now, but as cameron hanes said "Remember....... YOU ARE GREATER THAN ANYTHING THAT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU."
