2007 AZ Archery Buck (pics)

Well, I’m back from the Arizona desert. The last two weeks had it’s highs and lows, as the mule deer weren’t quite rutting and the big bucks were no where to be found. I passed a few bucks, including a nice 3x4 opening day (see below), waiting on the bigger bucks to show. I ended up being in the right place at the right time for this 25” buck a few days later. He has decent mass, great eye-guards, but a broken G4 on his right side. He’ll easily make the net P&Y minimum. I feel VERY lucky to have him, as I spent the last week trying to get the rest of the BOHNTR crew in on something worth arrowing. Slim pickings for big bucks. I have a feeling Fred will end up trying for the 28” 3x4 real soon. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Hope your buddy gets a crack at the 28 incher.
Thanks for sharing!
Good luck to Fred too! Let us know how he makes out.
Really, a great deer though. =D>
Cogratulations on a fine hunt. :thumb
Just wish I was down there chasing the javelina around myself. :-k
Yeah, he was a beautiful looking buck, especially with the white face. I saw him on opening day.....had he been a 4x4 and eyeguards he would have been in serious trouble. :arrow
you kill bucks all year long that most of us only dream about( I'm thinking specifically of your non-typ. Blacktail), but you throw up a photo like this??????????? Come on---break down and hire a camera man!!! Living in Cali you've gotta be making the big bucks!(I think that's where you live) I am sure you wouldn't have to pay much. Just let someone tag along and get the GPS coordinates to your hotspots and they can setup and takes your trophy photos!!!!!!! I had to tell my kids it was because of photoshop that your deer didn't have a body!!! Otherwise they wouldn't touch my deer meat (all girls)! You are the only guy I know posting more trophies than I have a chance to hunt!!!!!!!!! :thumb :thumb :thumb
Congrats on a great season, or wait, is this the start of a new season??
Great buck (and I have now seen it on three websites!)!!!!
Are you following me and trying to drive me nuts? Oh wait, you were probably a member of all three before me!!!!!!!! Good luck next year!
The only downfall is that I'm going to have a hefty taxidermy bill this year. I guess that's a good thing. :))
Great job once again. Congrats to you and if your buddy is still hunting, good luck to him.
Thanks for posting your success,

I think it's one of the best out there and all that I currently use. Honestly, I prefer the original designs over the new deception concepts, but it's good at breaking up a human outline. ASAT would be another good choice, but I find the availability and discount with predator much better. :)
