2008 Antelope Success!!!!!

I shot him on the second day of the hunt. I was hunting a water hole. He came in with 15 other goats. I scouted the unit three times before the hunt started and spotted hime on the second trip. I couldn't be happier. What do you guys think he will score????? The reason I ask is becasuse he fooled me..

SWEET buck, good mass and very high prongs. I like him, how about a 84" for me.

I'm not even gonna try and score him cause I'm not too good with Pronghorn. But I do know that buck is gonna score real high! Not real wide but that's an awesome buck! I love how high he prongs and I love how he carries out the mass after the prong. Buck of a lifetime, congrats!

Thanks for the nice coments, guys. I think Pope and young doesn't count spreed in the finally socre anymore. I know they did awhile back.

Beautiful buck! A shooter for sure.

And you're correct, the spread has no bearing on the score.

He seems to have good mass from the side view and he's tall. My guess is 82 4/8.

Thanks, for all nice comments about my antelope. When, I first saw the buck, while scouting, I guessed him in low 80's. He was the biggest buck I've ever seen, while hunting. When he came into water, I was just a nervous wreck. Here's the measurements

Left Side Right Side
L 15 inches 15
P 4.5 4
M1 6 3/4 7
M2 6 2/8 6 2/8
M3 3 3/4 3 3/4
M4 2 3/4 2 3/4
total 39 39 6/8 = 78 6/8

I thought he was closer to 16 inches long. He carries his mass and prongs really high and I think that lead me to think he was longer than he really was. I guessed his prongs around 5 1/2 inches. A couple inches here and there makes a real big difference on a goat. I still couldn't be happier!!!

try this out and then rescore him.to me it looks like spread does count. plus we had an official scorer in cabelas the other day and he added in width for the guy in front of me.

I'm not sure what the scorer was doing but I'm sure the spread doesn't go towards the score. Pope and Young does measure the spreed but they don't include it in the score.
