2008 Montana Whitetail

I thought I would post the Whitetail my bud and I put down in Northern Montana this past year. We chased around a great mule deer then lost him. We found this buck the next day and we took 3 days to kill him. Smart ol bugger thats for sure. Nothing huge but for two Nevada natives a good whitetail is also cool to get knocked down. What do you guys thinks he scores?

I'm not a good judge on Whitetail scoring. :)

A nice WT for sure. I need a couple more angles. Hard to estimate a score from one side pic.

Congrats on a fine looking whitetail. He will gross a lot more than he will net because he is a 4x5. My guess would be 144 gross 136 net.

I'm not sure on the score at all, it's been too long since I've tried to keep up with that skill. But he's a nice looking whitey! I'd like to hunt them sometime, congrats

The 4X5 will hurt him for BC score but who cares. I think net about 140.
That is a nice buck. got him on the wall?

That is a nice buck..like the others I will guess at around 140 net.....But like Wayne said.."who cares"....That is a nice whitetail in anyones book except for those suffering from some sort of "trophy-itis" those are the same guys who home grow their deer....The ones that plant oversize food plots and provide mineral supplements for their "farm" grown deer...You know, the kind of folks who talk about "Team Iowa" and "Team Illinois"...The guys that think hunting is a competition.....And they brag about drawing all the deer off their neighbors land.....They are the same guys who do not have fun unless they shoot the biggest buck....They get mad at the world if they don't shoot something.....

You and your buddy worked hard to get this one and you had fun.....In the end you bagged a beautiful buck taken the way nature meant it to be....

Thanks guys.. For a Nevada desert rat it was fun chasing that dude around the breaks and crp for a few days. I hope everybody here has an outstanding season this year and you all have a smile on your face when it ends, regardless of what ends up in the freezer. Thanks for the comments..
