I wanted to thank everyone here for all the help they gave me for the 2009 Henry Mt rifle hunt (especially NotEnufTags, Deserthorn, a_bow_nut). I also have to thank Dave C from sportsmans warehouse here in SLC as well. He was a huge help. Most of all I have to thank the Creator of the Mule Deer for allowing me to draw and harvest this great buck.
I can’t tell you how happy I am to have landed this guy. He is 6x5, 26” wide and green scored at 201 and some change (by a guide). I saw wider bucks, but can’t honestly say I have ever seen a buck this thick with my own eyes. The H1’s are 7” and 6 7/8” around. I will get it scored if I can, but I’m not real concerned with the official score, I couldn’t be happier. We did not have a guide down there and we hunted our butts off before landing this guy on the second morning and our second try (+ scouting). It was a 530 yard shot and then a follow-up shot once we got to him. I hope he was worth the wait for you.
I really love his lobster claw and mass.

I hope to do a full Henry Mt post for future lucky tag winners but for now I will just give you the tips that are the most important to me for hunting in the Henries.
1. Be able to shoot at least 400 yards. There are a ton of deer, but not a boat load over 200 and you may only see him once. The deer down there over 200 are smart.
2. You need to beg, steal, or borrow a good spotting scope and binoculars. Too many bucks to chase each one down for a good look. You need to size them up fast and move on the the other 25 you have in view.
3. Scout like crazy if you can. It's worth it.
4. Take a trusty vehicle and a spare for truck AND trailer. It is rugged down there.
I hope you like the pics and I hope you all draw for that place someday, it's nothing short of amazing.

And congrats on an awesome buck.
Send us a pic of the mount.
I'll post more about the trip when I can find the time.
@DeadI - I wish I had photo or video of this guy on the hoof. He was in a spot that no one would have really thought to look. Especial when there were 45 bucks UP hill and all around from where he was. I just didn't expect to find a big buck where he was. Luckily I had a really experienced friend along (Greg) with me with a great spotting scope. I don't know that I would have found this on my own. He was basically over a rise, and downhill from the road. You could not really see him from the road, and a lot of hunters didn't leave the road down there.
IF anyone has pics or video of him on the hoof I would pay $10 for it :)
Here is a couple field photos.
