2009 Wyoming Trip

My oldest son Jim and I returned from our Wyoming trip last week.....New area, wonderful scenery and another memorable hunt....Jim and I started by hunting antelope SW of Kaycee....Jim harvested his very first antelope, a heavy horned 12"....He was really pumped after dumping it at 270 yards with his 700 rem 30-06......The next day it was my turn and my Douglas barreled savage 25-06 made good at 325 yards on a 13-1/2".....We spent one more night at the campground in Kaycee and headed over the mountain to the Bighorn Basin to try our luck on the mule deer....After setting up camp on BLM in the afternoon, we made our first hunt and it proved very productive, providing me with this nice buck at 275 yards......During the rest of the week we only came across small bucks and Jim chose to let them grow....We saw as many or more elk than deer, picked up a few sheds and had a great time...
