2011 season highlights

Here's a few bucks that I got on video this year. It was hard to pass on that third buck and try for a cactus buck instead. I went looking for him during the rifle hunt but no luck turning him up. I know he was hunted pretty hard during the archery and muzzleloader seasons. The last buck is from Antelope Island.

I know what you mean about packing your camera more. My problem is that I pack it but sometimes forget to use it. ](*,)
I really need to try and find a camera adaptor for my spotting scope.
Some of my friends got a lot better footage than I did. Maybe when they get time, they'll post something up.

What's the story on the missed buck? Nice video, enjoyed it.

That was on the muzzy hunt. 180 yard shot with a 30 MPH cross wind from left to right. The wind "drifted" the bullet about two feet right out in front of his brisket. Wind drift is something most of us forget can make a big difference with shot placement. We're hoping we can find that buck again this coming year, he should be a good one.

great looking deer! I am sorry about the miss. I had plenty of my own this year..

It's always tough to miss with the muzzleloader. I've never felt more helpless than watching a nice buck move out of range or out of sight knowing that I won't get another shot off.

Nice bucks, that looks like some pretty rugged terrain. Better luck next year.
