60/65mm vs. 80mm

Well my Vortex Skyline deal fell through. So im still shopping.

Im looking for a scope that packs easily well too.

In the interest of saving space and weight, would the benefits of a lighter, smaller 60 or 65mm Obj. scope outweigh the loss of light transmission for those low light periods?

Whats everyones thoughts on this?

Thanks

I use an 80 but the weight difference is significant. I also have a small 60mm that I can pack when I walk more than a mile or two. The light transmission difference is huge at dusk/dawn so it is a tradeoff. It all depends on your hunting style and how much weight you want to carry when you do walk any distance.

Hope this helps I know it is about what you already mentioned but if your looking for confirmation then here it is.

I have a 65 MM Swaorovski and I think it does very well most of the time. The only time that I think it would matter is when its pretty dark and you need to zoom in past 40x thats when the 80mm would be better. I don't honestly know if an 80MM scope would have made a difference at any time for me yet [-o< . So I am sticking with the 65mm for the weight savings.
