A coupla mulies...

I hunted with a friend of mine in the far north east corner of New Mexico. This is not an area known to throw out B&C mulies. We hunted hard and got lucky. Both taken on the same day. My buck is a 4x4 with eyeguards, his is a fabulous 3x3. Nice big blocky bodied bucks. I actually have a picture of the 3x3 bedded in a rocky canyon.

Sometimes it was too open and we spent a good bit of time on our bellies. I am still picking cholla cactus spines from various parts of my anatomy from that hunt. But it was worth it!

We hunt the old Gage ranch south of Pinon. Did these bucks come from this area?

We shot these deer on the Gladstone ranch which is halfway between Springer and Clayton.

How much did those big bucks weigh? I have never seen any deer sooo fat. :)
