I never thought it would happen to me but while out shooting and hunting rabbits two weeks ago I shot myself in the leg with a 22 it was my upper left inner thigh up high any higher and no more kids.... I thought my gun was on safty as i was manuvering threw tall sage brush with my arms up a little and next thing bang.. so everyone be extra carefull it could happen anytime anyplace Luckily after traveling through lots of layers of cloths and luckily a glove in my pocket it wasnt to bad a lil cut to remove it a couple stiches and back on track

Reminds me of an Army major when I was in Iraq. Shot himself AFTER clearing his weapon (M9), or so he thought. He never removed the magazine and just chambered another round. As he went to reholster he ended up putting a round in his upper left thigh much in the same area as yours. The bullet hit bone, traveled down his leg and exited near his ankle.
Yep, traveled down the same path as the femural artery. He lost his leg. Tough way to go home.
