Another "How big is he?"

What does the panel of experts think? I know that the pic is a little cruddy, but my guess is that he is about 26" wide and fairly young by his head and body size. Something to look at anyway.--------------SS

How big is he? I say he is big enough for me to flip a stick at. Especialy if he is on public ground.

25-26" wide.......130-140" depending on points. Cool looking buck with lots of potential.

i agree with everyone with the 25"+/- range, but score- who knows. that buck could turn his head and be a 160" or 130" buck. he might be a 3 point and have crummy forks or he couldd be a nice evenly forked 4x4.

i know one thing, unless i'm in an extra special hunting area, i'm going to try and shoot him :thumb

24-25 wide and he does look like a young deer if he isn't killed he has great potential.

But I would kill him in archery or on a general tag potential be damned.

I agree with you. The buck is a 3x3 with nice tines, but even as a younger buck, he probably will never score above the 140-150 mark. At 26 inches wide and with good thickness, I'd be darned proud to take him on any general hunt. Fun to look at too, got the old blood pumping to see him up close. -----------SS

Too bad he's the best buck we saw. Hopefully as fall approaches they will move in.

If not, we'll just have to take our frustrations out on the prarie dogs again. I think that snow in the Uintas could greatly help our cause, but worst case scenario is that we let the kids waylay some of those little bucks we saw, especially that fat little 2x3 that's hogging that whole beautiful basin to himself and his two little brothers, they might become cannon fodder for the youngans. I can wait for next year if we don't see anything better.-------------SS

Since he's a 3 point, I like him a little more. I would rather shoot a 140" 3 point than a 150" 4 point with the same width.
