Any Bull General Utah

I have only been hunting spike only units in Utah for about 6 years now, and I am getting tired of seeing nothing but cows and big bulls lol .. I was wondering if anyone could give me a general area to start scouting this year in a any bull region? I dont want you special spots or anything, just somewhere to start looking. I am taking a first timer this year, and I am hopin that we can at least see some elk, even if they are 2000+ yards away :))

I was thinking about the vernal area maybe? Im from around the Ogden area, so just nothing south of the Richfield area.

Welcome to the site.

Good luck on this one. With only a few areas in the state that are "Any bull" General units, they get quite a bit of presure. So the elk are just as hard to find. My advise is get away from roads what ever unit you hunt.

Zion/Kolob area down South is all I know. Sorry it's farther away than you want to travel.

You can find elk in many of the upper backcountry canyons and basins of Salt Lake, Morgan and Summit counties. Around Vernal, you could try the Red Cloud Loop or along the Diamond Mnt. boundry but you will have lots of company. Good luck
