anyone finding any morel mushrooms?

i went out and picked 15 morels this last weekend, anyone else finding any??

i found them in fir thickets that had somewhat of an open floor. damp area's. i'm by no means an expert!! just my second year of really looking for them.
hawk--- i think you should look in the shady areas under the aspen thickets you have over there :-k :-k lol

just got back, found 22 more today. i could only go for a couple hrs so i just hit one spot and there were a few more than last weekend :thumb
oh and i dropped the ball one the pictures ](*,) i even took my camera then left it in the truck :>/ i might try to get back out tomorrow for a little bit, maybe i can take some pics if i remember

 you eat them.i've been dipping them in egg and milk then rolling them in cracker crumbes and mmmmmmmmmmmmm.... good

Been finding quite a few since late April. Here's some Snow or Blonde Morels, they're usually the first ones to pop...

I got very sick after eating a bunch 19 years ago, so I just photograph nowadays.

cool pics. so how did you get sick? the morels aren't poisenous[sp??] was it another mushroom that you ate?

 Ate them since I was a kid, but for some reason I got a reaction that one time. My wife and I picked a bunch and sauteed them up and had them with some elk steak that night. I woke up around 12:30am, the room was spinning, I was soaked with sweat, and my gut was churning. After I got them out of me I was fine again. Haven't touched them since!!! I picked about a gallon last week and gave them to my brother and his wife.

 some people would pay a lot of money to get a reaction like that from a mushroom. just saying :thumb

pop the tops off chop the stems with 4 green onions (optionial) 1 lb sasauge a pakage of cream cheese mixx well fill caps and set on cookie sheet for 15 -20 min at 350 in the oven. nummy man
