Hi guys- I'm new to the forum but I wanted to introduce myself shortly.
Grew up hunting and continue to do so whenever I can. I recently came across ScoutLook Weather in another blog and I've been using it ever since to plan before I hunt.
It gives pretty accurate weather information, tools, etc and the two creators are avid hunters themselves, which means all the information has been very useful to me.
I recently went bowhunting last weekend and using their ScentCone feature I knew where I should place my treestands. I like a challenge for sure, but weather is not one I want to bother with. Their app just came out (if you have a droid or iPhone) and I like that as well just so it's handy when I'm out in the field.
Where do you guys like to hunt? How do you prepare for the weather? What are some of your favorite hunter-friendly apps?

I have a droid and love how I can check the weather radar where I hunt. I use the noaa site and the local news station and they are free. Although I usually have rain/snow gear with me at all times, I also have a camo 7x9' tarp to throw over me and wait out the storm. If possible, always dress in layers. I really love my maps app too. This summer I was scouting a new road and when it got dark, I used the google earth option and was able to see the road continued out to a highway. Otherwise in the past, I would have turned around and backtracked because I would not want to risk going miles to find a deadend.
