wow!!!!! that is a big bear!! bears are one of the hardest animals to feild judge in my op. but you can look at a ton of bears and when you do see a buiser like this one you know your looking at a beast!!!i have 2 bears that are pushing 400 lbs. and i dont doubt for a second that 470-500 is a reasonable guess on this one!! congrates to the hunter. What state was it killed in??

Jake shot this bear in Utah on the Archery hunt. It was a lot of work. I helped him pack in doughnuts 3 times a week for a month before we had this big boy give him a shot. We had 10 different bears hitting our bait site.

Just for comparison the bear with his head in the bait was this bear.

From the trail cameras we had 2 picked out that Jake wanted to shoot. It was the one he shot or this one.

I can't wait to have my chance to shoot one. Instead of just being the pack horse.

The green score is in and the results are 22. This will make P&Y and top 21 in Boone and Crocket.

That has to be one of the largest lower 48 bears ever killed, let alone with archery equipment. =D>

Any idea on how I would be able to find out the largest archery bear shot in the lower 48? I think that would be cool to know as well...

SCI, that would be #3 Black Bear correct. Good grief that is HUGE either way!
