Sorry that you all were not successful...been there. I feel like I won the lottery by drawing Unit 27, Elk, Muzzleloader end of Sept (rut) hunt. What a great day! The maps are on order and the plans for a scouting trip are in the works. I'm a DIY backpack hunter so this trip will be my one shot to get familiar with the unit. If you're familiar with the unit, please drop me a note. I may ping you in a month or so after I have time to review maps and determine some areas of interest.

Congrats on the tag.

Man we still have to wait for another month for our draw results to come out in Utah. ](*,)

Sure hope to pull a tag [-o< but not holding my breath.

In AZ we only (and just recently) get to find out elk and antelope. The rest of the fall species like deer and sheep etc. we don't find out about until late JULY!

Looks like I was lucky enough to draw another bonus point. Not starting out real well with the draws. I am going to keep my fingers crossed for UT.

No tags here either.

Wish I had those 6 BP I lost by not putting for 5 years straight (military academy + first year at first unit) to add to the the 6 I have now. Didn't know about the buy a bonus point deal back then...some day though.

I do have 6 BP I WILL use on a archery deer tag...So I should get a shot at the home state (hopefully).

 tell me about it! i guided for 9 yrs, so hunting was 100% my lifestyle for that time, and was making well enough miney do do the point program. DO YOU THINK I WAS SMART ENOUGH TO BUY PREFERENCE POINTS ALL THAT TIME???? STUPID ME.......... it's been another 9 yrs since then,I WOULD HAVE HAD THE POINTS TO DRAW the best tags for any state. man i'd like to kick my own azzz ](*,)

Wow. I drew 3A/3C archery bull. Um, I am wrecked. There were 2 of us and we had a blended 6 points. I truly don't know what to say other than Holy Cow!

Ok guys don't hate me for this but I drew A 6B early archery Tag in AZ...2nd tag in 3 years...With that said though it took me 11 years to draw the first tag...I have hunted elk the last 3 years and been schooled all 3 times...My time is now
