Do not use a Judo.....actually in my state it's illegal to use a Judo for turkey.....and for good reason, as it's not a viable head to quickly kill a turkey.

Most folks I know use some type of mechanical head for turkeys. Penetration usually is not an issue with them and the cutting surface is large. I've arrowed a few and have always used the same heads I use for big game (Wac'em). Worked fine but I think the next time I'll try a mechanical and see if I have a quicker recovery. Good luck.

i killed a nice tom a few yrs back using 85 gr. Wasp Jackhammers the turkey went 10 steps and was done. as said any good sharp broadhead will work but a bigger cutting diameter helps alot.

Unless you are worried about too big of a hole, give the Rage two blades a shot. They fly great and a turkey shouldn't get far for sure.

Rage 2 blade Expandables is what I used on all 3 of my turkeys last spring. IMO, they work far better than a fixed blade. Here is my biggest bird from last season http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm291/BlacktailBuck/PaulsApril172008Turkey1240compresse.jpg The other 2 were jakes.

At over a 2" cutting diameter, you can hit a turkey semi marginal and still have a good shot. If you draw an imaginary line on a broadside turkey from the wing joint down to the drumstick and hit anywhere on that line, you are in the good.

Check out this link: https://www.gilbertsguns.com/Archery/Broadheads/SpitFire/Spitfire+3+Blade+85+Grain+Expandable+3+Pack

Or this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/NAP-Spitfire-85-grain-3-blade-mechanical-broadhead-NIB_W0QQitemZ180337688704QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20090317?IMSfp=TL090317202007r23488

Or this one: http://www.bowhunterssuperstore.com/eastman-firstcut-85100-grain-expandable-broadhead-p-2813.html

It looks like there are at least 2 different 85 grain expandables.

Good luck,

Having shot a 'few', most have been killed with a 100gr Rocket SteelHeads...Before switching it was 125. Most important thing above all, is where you hit 'em, this is key. Any good Broadhead will work, just make the shot count.

If you're hunting out of a blind, use a Guillitine. They're awesone, Usually the head goes farther than the turkey :X
