I thought it would be nice if some of us would pitch in and help some of the newbies or each other with unfamiliar areas or hunting techniques. We could use this thread as a reference for contacts on different areas around the country. What do you think? Would you guys be willing to share info. about areas you know well. I'm not talking about honey holes but general regions, units or mountain ranges. I'll start things off. If anyone needs help or info. on Utahs Central Region, the Southern Regions (Washington County) or Salt Lake and Davis Counties. Just ask and hopefully someone will come foreward to help. Be as specific as possible. PMs would be most welcome. Also, although I've hunted all types of terrain. I enjoy the higher elevations above 8,000' , glassing basins and burn areas.

i can help with wyo antelope information around Pinedale or idaho elk.
My dad and I were lucky enough to draw WY 47 antelope tags this year, and this will be our first trip out west in 15 years, so any help will be appreciated.
Looking forward to learning more about western hunting.
Quote: Wyoming unit 47 is a good unit and lots of public land yo will see tons of antelope and of course you will probably see a bunch of other hunters. Bring good optics and a spotting scope if you have one, knee and elbow pads are recomended for crawling on the cactus covered terrain.
No need to worry though, you should have lots of opportunities to get a good goat. Make sure you get your BLM maps and if you have a GPS. I recomend that you get the card that shows public and private ownership there is no comparison when you have the GPS and map together you will always know where you are.
Check your PM when you get the chance

I am also from the east and have a ton of information on fishing the lake erie and lake ontario tributaries for steelhead, browns and salmon.
I need infor on colorado's unit 62. Me and my father and law have a 2nd rifle deer tag and will be buying a bull tag also. Will be hunting off of the divide road any info would be helpful. Thanks.
I was in that area last year, my wife had a rifle tag and from what I saw and what I was told from other hunters who hunted the area the whole rifle season the mature bucks didn’t move down until the end of the rifle hunt. I think it really depends on the weather if it remains hot probably about the same if it gets cold they’ll move sooner.
I just pulled my very first deer tag after 5 years of putting in. I pulled the tag for Nevada Hunt unit 011, 012, 013 for the Early season. I am new to deer hunting and would appreciate any help that you guys can offer. Thank you in advance.
