Aug 23 2008 trail cam pics

We rode into the are that I am going to hopefully shoot my LE elk this year and picked up the trail cams yesterday. It was weird one cam only took 13 pics and the other had 2152 on it. Come to find out I think it was sensing a stinking branch in front of it. So I have aproximatly 500 photos of animals out of the 2152 total taken. And 420 of those with animals are of about 5 does (as far as I can tell) and a few fawns, the camera was on a old salt lick and these does would just not leave it a lone, they were addicted. If I scroll thru the pics fast enough it looks like a movie. LOL.

Any ways here are some of the elk that I got photos of.

Nope that second from the top is the biggest one that we got. He looks like a small 7x7, that in a couple more years could really be something. But I am not to worried, we have seen some really nice bulls in the area while spotting.

Yea we were hopeing we would have some bigger ones. There are a few that you really can not tell to well, they may or may not be a little bigger, the photos don't give a good view of them. Or it is dark and you just can not tell very well. Maybe I will post a few more.

But the mountain we are going to hunt is huge, there is a lot of country up there, and there are alot of animals, I would not expect to have a pic of every bull on the mountain in one little spot.
